When an elevator is modernized, the elevator contractor handles only the elevator work — but the job site requires much more. "Work By Others" (WBO) refers to all the building-related construction tasks that must be done alongside the elevator work but fall outside the elevator contractor's scope.

Alliance Professionals steps in to handle those WBO tasks, including: machine room preparation, pit work and waterproofing, hoistway modifications, electrical rough-in and panel work, drywall and framing, painting and patching, concrete work, and general site coordination.

We work directly with elevator contractors, building owners, and property managers to keep modernization projects on schedule — no gaps, no delays.

We start by reviewing the WBO scope with the elevator contractor and providing a clear estimate and timeline. Once on site, we coordinate with all trades to minimize downtime and avoid conflicts. Our goal: complete our portion cleanly and on schedule so the elevator contractor can get back in and finish the job.
